  • 1964 Perry C. Peine forms Peine Corporation on May 27, 1964 and becomes the founding president of the company
  • 1966 Company name is changed to Denver Commercial Builders, Inc and still operates under this name today
  • 1972 Company moves to 909 East 62nd Avenue and still operates from the same address today
  • 1977 John Barna joins the company and will eventually become the 2nd President of the company
  • 1982 Perry Peine completes sale of company to group of employees led by John Barna, who becomes the President of the Company
  • 1988 Company starts to operate under the name of dcb Construction Company
  • 2012 Starts a new division named Reconn Construction Services that focuses on national retail accounts
  • 2013 Dan McComb joins the company as CFO and Operations Director and will become the 3rd President of the company
  • 2016 dcb completes over $1 B of construction since inception
  • 2017 CFO Dan McComb and Board Member Scott King acquire dcb Construction from John Barna as part of an agreement to ensure future success for the company’s clients and employees
  • 2018 Completed 2.7 millionth square foot of self-storage
