dcb Construction Company, Inc. started as a Butler Builder in 1960 employing a unique in house design build approach that continues to this day.  While we have evolved into a premier general contractor offering a variety of construction types, pre-engineered metal building construction continues to be one of our core project types.  In addition to offering complete metal building services, dcb provides design assist, supply and erection of steel buildings to other contractors and end users.  As such, our team of metal building experts, led by Rick Waters, provides preconstruction design, cost estimating, and materials on an outsourced basis to commercial / industrial general contractors.  For those contractors that have chosen not to spend in house payroll developing estimators and project managers devoted to steel buildings, dcb can provide that capability on an outsourced basis.


 Rick Waters – Ten years as a concrete forming and tilt up wall panel construction, twenty years of training and practice using pre-engineered steel building systems, both as a marketer and a builder. Low bid begins with smart design; Rick will help you get there on your project.

Capabilities - Basic box low complexity, medium design class, and high design class buildings. Buildings with cranes, mezzanines, hangar doors, long bay, insulated sandwich wall or roof panels, will be offered and meet the expectations of the contractor, as well as the end user.  

Other manufacturers of complimentary products – companion products such as insulation, roof curbs, windows, walk doors, snow fencing, roof walkway platforms, will be offered to provide a complete solution.

Field Service – dcb is not a 1-800 business. Rick will travel to meet with contractors, architects, engineers, developers, and end users as required to build team consensus on design. Medium to high design class buildings cannot be “sold over the phone”. We are email and cell phone savvy, but understand that at some point, people gathered around a conference table, with a set of plans, will discuss the owner’s goals and how to build them.dcb
